Syllabus

This is intended to be a 2-semester course. Students need to participate regularly and actively to receive course credit.

This includes giving a presentation (seminar) at least once (at least once per year if students participate for a full year) and asking questions after the seminar presentations.

That is, active student participation includes trying to understand the presentations well enough to ask meaningful questions at the end, or to ask questions during the seminar if the presented material is not understood.

Notes:

• We anticipate to have about 5 external speakers over the course of the academic year.
• All members of the Nuclear Theory Group are expected to participate on a regular basis (always, except for conflicts), including students who are not formally enrolled in the course.
