Dump Files
These are binary restart dump files from which KEPLER can be resumed.
New Dump Quantities
Since Version 14, beyond the new parameters and saved zonal arrays the following things have been added:
datapath
CHARACTER*(80)Contains a search path for data files
wind
array(nitz)Stores the APPROX abundances removed from the star
windb
array(nitzb)stores the BURN abundances removed from the star
The following are saved if irecb (p 418)
1:
nbmax
integernumber of maximum burn abundances recorded
nabmax
array(nburn)mass number of maximum burn abundance
nzbmax
array(nburn)charge number of maximum burn abundance
nibmax
array(nburn)index of current ppnb isotopes in maximum BURN abundance array
burnamax
array(nburn)stores the maximum abundances reached in the BURN network
burnmmax
array(nburn)stores the mass coordinates where the maximum abundances in the BURN network were reached
bcmax
array(nburn)stores the cycle numbers of when the maximum abundances in the BURN network were reached

convindicates full convection
semiindicate semiconvection
oshtindicate that overshoot mixing is being done in zones adjacent to convective regions
neut(for “neutral”) indicates that while still radiative, the zonal interface is within a small amount (quantified and controlled by fracneut (p 59) ) of being convective
thal(for “thermohaline”) indicates that thermohalin mixing operates in that zone, controlled by alpth (p 425)
____(4 spaces), indicate that the interface is well into the regime where only radiative transfer takes place across the interface.
Note
There may still be other mixing processes operating, i.e., due to rotation and induced by dynamos/magnetic fields.
